A busy day in the workshop!

Last Saturday (19/7/21)  I was a bit sad that the lockdown had caused me to cancel my clay workshop in Buninyong.  While absolutely necessary, the timing was awful!  So, Chris lit the fire and we spent a lovely cosy day together surrounded by metal flowers, wire, tools and the odd vino.

We had a huge amount of fun making this prototype of the metal wreaths. I got to try out my metalwork skills (which were nonexistent and now I'm slightly better!)  Working with the wire was a new thing, and I'm terribly lucky to have all the equipment close at hand, plus a patient teacher.  The skills I learn making these will also help in making larger clay sculptures, as I can create sturdy armatures.

I'm loving the twirly wire!!!
